About Corten Steel

Corten steel is prized in architecture and design precisely because it doesn't stay the same. Exposed to the elements, it develops a natural protective oxide layer — what begins as a bright, warm rust-orange finish gradually deepens through richer copper and umber tones, eventually settling into a deep, weathered brown-black patina over years of exposure. Does the 24" tall version include hidden propane tank storage?
Yes — the 24" tall Unity includes an access door for a hidden propane tank. The tank is not included.

How long does it take to ship?
The Unity is made to order. Estimated lead time is 2–3 weeks. Ships via LTL Freight with curbside delivery to the contiguous USA.

Will the color change over time?
Yes. Corten steel develops a natural patina that deepens from bright rust-orange toward a dark weathered brown-black over months and years of outdoor exposure. This is expected and is not a defect — it's the material's defining characteristic.
